I want to publicly recognize and thank Hunter Richards for being an absolute angel today!
I received an email this morning from an EA that I occasionally work with outside of my company that made a comment that hurt my feelings and made me feel insecure in my work, my value, and ultimately my job security. I wasn’t sure if I was overreacting or how to respond to the situation, so I reached out to Hunter Richards (who I was matched with for a micro circle a few months back and have continued to meet with monthly) and got her advice on the situation. She absolutely came to my rescue and gave me exactly what I needed: a pep talk, stellar verbiage to use when responding to the email respectfully, and even helped ease my frustration towards the other person.
Even though this is not her preferred method of being appreciated, I want Hunter to have a public shout-out for being such a great peer today because I think this whole situation is a perfect example of why we join the network: the benefits it brings us on a practical and day-to-day basis, and the relationships we build with other members. 🙂
