I have been managing Brad’s inbox for several years. The two things that work best for me/us are:
-We flag any email that we believe needs a response. He does like to read through his inbox, so he’ll flag stuff that he reads, but doesn’t want to respond to himself. Then I go through the flags and attempt responses/actions. If the response/action is simple/obvious, I just go ahead and do it.
-If the response is NOT obvious, I take my best crack at it, and leave the response in Drafts. Then I let Brad know that it’s there, so that he can send it out himself. It’s a lot faster for him to just review what I said and hit send, then to write his own email. Sometimes, I’m WAY off, so he’ll just send me a message to tell me what I should have said, and then I can send it from there.
I hope that helps!
